The Booth

One piece of furniture. One real camera.

No cheap selfie kiosks. No phone strapped to a tripod. The Evergrain booth is a custom walnut-and-linen enclosure, built around a 24-megapixel DSLR, attended by a real person — start to finish.

The build

Designed to belong.

The enclosure is solid walnut with a brushed linen panel — meant to read as a piece of furniture, not a kiosk. It packs into two cases and sets up in under 45 minutes, but on the night, it looks like it was built into the venue.

Footprint is approximately 4 × 6 ft, plus 4 ft of guest standing room. We bring everything: power, lighting, props (optional), the works.

Specifications

What's inside.

01

A real DSLR.

A Canon EOS R 24-megapixel mirrorless body paired with a 35mm prime. Real depth of field. Real low-light performance. Photos you'd actually print at 8 × 10.

02

Soft, considered lighting.

A 36-inch softbox key light, a hair-light fill, and a continuous LED so guests can see themselves before the shot. No harsh ring-light shine, no closed-eye blowouts.

03

Archival dye-sub printing.

DNP RX1HS dye-sublimation prints, archival photo stock, instant-dry. 2 × 6 strips or 4 × 6 lay-flat prints. Hand them out the same night — they'll still look right in five years.

04

A live gallery.

Every guest can text themselves a digital copy. The full event gallery goes online the next morning at a private link, password-protected, downloadable in high resolution.

05

A real human running it.

An on-site attendant for every event. Their job is to be quietly available — fixing strap snags, refilling print paper, walking your aunt through her first photo strip.

06

Custom print design.

Strip layouts designed for your event — your monogram, your color story, your hashtag. We mock up two options pre-event so you can pick the one you love.
